Getting to CL2000
How to get to Imperial College
The conference is being held in the main South Kensington campus of Imperial College.
Imperial College is located in South Kensington, a very busy area of London. There is an acute shortage of car parking facilities so, unless you arrange a parking space in advance, coming in by car will be difficult.
The London Underground is probably the most convenient way of getting to Imperial College by public transport. Travel to South Kensington station, which is on the Picadilly, Circle and District lines. Inside the station and to the right, as you come through the ticket barriers, is an underground walkway that finally emerges in Exhibition Road, adjacent to college and nearby Science Museum.
The following bus routes also take you close to the campus:
- 9,10 or 52 - Royal Albert Hall
- 74 or 14 - Victoria and Albert Museum
- 49 - Gloucester Road
- 45A or C1 - South Kensington
- 70 - Queen's Gate
- 9A - Prince Consort Road
The registration desk will be situated near the entrance to the Sherfield Building. (See the R in map below). It will be open between 4.00 pm and 8.00 pm on Sunday 23rd July and from 8.15 am on Monday 24th July.
