Title: Computing for home healthcare
Abstract:

The presentation will introduce the challenge facing the healthcare industry of increased demand due to the aging demographic of the country. Digital technology, such as intelligent sensors, Internet connectivity and increased computing power is allowing this problem to be addressed by tele-health. This is only part of the story as the potentially huge volume of data generated still needs to be analysed, which throws up a whole new challenge of intelligent data processing. The presentation will end with real-world examples of how computing can be applied to address these challenges.
