Title: How to make the leap from student to tech start-up
Abstract:

The Imperial Digital Accelerator has been established in order to facilitate entrepreneurship in the digital space at Imperial College. This will be achieved by a combination of funding (up to GBP10,000), industry expert mentorship, workshops, team building events, legal and accounting support and exposure to the wider technology and investment community.

The launch event will reflect the practical focus of the accelerator; two Imperial College London Department of Computing teams (cleancut code and blippar), will give an advice packed talk about how they made it happen, from the first few lines of code to hundreds of thousands of sales and large corporate customers. This will be followed by the co-founder of Springboard and Ignite 100 incubators Jon Bradford who will discuss scaling, investment and the role of accelerators in the tech start-up community.

To wrap up, Tony Hickson (MD of technology transfer at Imperial Innovations) and Susan Eisenbach will describe the programme and how to apply.
