Applications of Computing in Industry : Lecture

Mara Tolja, Collaboration Centre of Excellence within Deutsche Bank's Global Technology division will talk about how initiatives such as the Communities of Practice and collaboration tools like CIB Connect and myDB, the Bank is connecting their people in new ways to change the way they work.

Mara runs the Collaboration Center of Excellence which helps organizations throughout the bank to change how they work.

Mara pioneered the use of Communities of Practice at DB, an alternative way to organize people in similar roles to share best practices and improve the roles themselves. She launched the first 10 and is now preparing dozens more across 7 divisions.

Now, her team is working with dozens of teams to help them use the new collaboration platform to improve how they work and communicate.

Before that, Mara worked in Auckland, Sydney, and London on a wide range of intranet and internet projects. She's been with DB since 1999.
