I am a Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science, Imperial College London, and a member of the Large-Scale Distributed Systems (LSDS) group.
My work in the past years focuses on the design and implementation of data-parallel processing systems for streaming (see Saber) and machine learning (see Crossbow) that best utilise heterogeneous processors.
At Imperial, I also worked on HARNESS, an EU/FP7 project that aims to accelerate Cloud Computing applications by incorporating novel hardware and software system architectures at the Platform-as-a-Service level.
Previously, I was a Reserch Assistant at the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow — from where I also received my PhD and MSc degrees, under the supervision of Prof. Joe Sventek — working on the Homework project.
My research interests lie in the area of distributed systems, including self-organizing sensor systems; (home) network monitoring and management; complexity of routing protocols; complex queries over data streams; and deep learning.
