CSG Tips and Techniques Lecture: October 2012
dcw@doc.ic.ac.ukIn November 2006, I developed and gave a lecture on practical CSG-related Tips and Techniques - ways of using the DoC computing systems more efficiently (often using the Linux command line). I'm given this lecture each year since, now I've just finished revising them for October 2012 - now they're all pretty and colourful (LaTeX Beamer presentation class, AnnArbor theme for the lateccies among you).
Here are the lecture materials, covering the lecture and associated examples.
- Here are the full size Postscript lecture notes, ie. with one slide per page.
- Here are the 4-up Postscript lecture notes, ie. with 4 slides per page, exactly like the printed notes.
- And here are the associated examples, as a gzipped tar file - download this into your home directory, then to extract the contents use the command
tar xzf examples.tgz
This will then create a directory calledexamples
- having done this, don't forget to delete the tarfile!
