In Oct. 2005, I joined the Distributed Software Engineering (DSE) group at the Dept. of Computing, Imperial College London as a Research Student. My interests cross the boundary of software engineering into computer networking. I am currently a Cisco Networking Academy Instructor in CCNA and a Sun Certified Instructor in Java.

Research: I have been working in a peer-to-peer (P2P) data integration project supervised by Dr. Peter McBrien. This project aims to investigate and develop robust application-layer data exchange protocols for P2P networks of sensors. This system uses the AutoMed data integration engine.
Broadly, my research interests are:
  • Schema-based data integration in P2P network
  • Distributed data management especially for P2P
  • Applications of Semantic Web technologies to P2P systems
Resource:

  • jNXT: A Java wrapper API for the Lego NXT bricks
  • WOICMS: a web-based semantic web portal using OWL-DL as the meta-data language
