About me

I was born in Greece (Athens) in 1982 and attended a Greek highschool.

In 2004 I earned my Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).

In 2006 I received my Master's degree (MSc) in Computer Science from AUEB, as well.

During my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, I used to work as a Web Service analyst and developer for various companies (Ira Media, Hartling Group etc.) and for the Computer Science department of AUEB.

I have competed twice (in 2005 and 2006) in the "Google Summer of Code" which is a worldwide programming competition for students organized by Google, and have earned the prize both times after the successful evaluation of my project for JXTA.

During period 2006-2007 I worked as a researcher at National ICT Australia (NICTA) in Networks and Pervasive Computing group (NPC) under the supervision of Athanassios Boulis, on project "Macro-programming for Wireless Sensor Networks".

In mid 2007 I joined the Broadband Wireless and Sensor Networks group of Athens Information Technology (AIT) as a research scientist. During this period, I worked on WINSOC, an EU FP7 project for environmental risk management, under the supervision of Dr. Gregory S. Yovanof.

Since October 2008, I am a Research Assistant and PhD Candidate in the Distributed Software Engineering (DSE) group of Imperial College London, under the supervision of Dr. Naranker Dulay. I am working on the EPSRC funded project Homework, which aims in designing user-centric future home network infrastructures.
