If you are here you obviously have a little interest in myself or my work, so let me introduce myself. I am a Portuguese/South African computer scientist. My background is in software development and I am currently specialising in researching Artificial Intelligence. My primary interests are in the fields of robotics, computational neurodynamics and cognitive processes.
I am currently a PhD candidate under the supervision of Murray Shanahan at Imperial College London. I am investigating Spiking Neural Networks, specifically how the network structure such as the network topology and connectivity affects the dynamical behaviour of these networks. The purpose of this investigation is to better understand how these networks function, and how they can maybe one day lead to cognitive processes being reproduced on a synthetic platform, such as a robot. A spiking neural network is in essence an artificial reproduction of a real brain network.

In the future I hope to continue to work in the field of computational neurodynamics. I am highly interested in AI and neuroscience. If you would like to contact me about either of those things or my work please feel free to do so.
