A wonderfully surreal experiment in multiple translation, courtesy of the Alta Vista / Systran online machine translation service! Although it's on-line, it's not fully automatic. It massages hyperlinks to call the translation service, but they need extra clicks and don't come up seamlessly in the translated language even at "depth 1". (Plus one needs to manually add a BASE construct to the HTML it generates.) And at depth 2 onwards, the hyperlinks are all broken even after the manual BASE hack. So: I had to keep saving (and "BASE-hacking") each new stage, and submitting a hyperlink to that saved version to go on to the next stage. The real fun and games will start when someone offers a service to view the web seamlessly through a translation filter of arbitrary depth!
