Expedition
Virtual Galápagos is not only a Web event, but an actual journey in the field through the 21 major and many smaller
islands of the Galápagos archipelago. These islands, best
known for their role in supporting Charles Darwin's ruminations
and researches in evolution theory, have also become a major destination
in adventure travel, world-famous for its human-tolerant wildlife,
volcanic landscapes, and equatorial skies.
In this section, we meet the individuals who put together the
TerraQuest take on travel -- the Home Team that manages
the Web work, and the Field Team that gathers the material.
We also can learn about what it means to Travel in the Galápagos,
with resources including reading lists, rules for eco-tourists
and other information. And since virtual travel can never match
the real thing, we offer you the chance to Join Us Next Year,
and add the Galápagos to your life-list of favorite places.
If you'd like to send email to the Field
Team, be sure to put the recipent's name in the subject
