Redialing a Call.


Transfering a Call.

Press [R], type in the extension number to transfer to, when answered say who you are passing on and then hangup.

If before you hangup you press [2] you will get back to the call on hold. Pressing [2] again will switch you back to the other extension.


Call Waiting.

During a call if you here a beep, beep tone then another call is waiting to come in. If you finish the current call and hangup the new call will then ring.

If instead you press [2] you are switched to the waiting call. If you press [2] again you are switched back to your original call.


Conference Calls.

During a call press [R] and type in the extension you wish to add to the conference then press [3]. Up to seven extensions can be added to a call. Only one person can add calls in and you cannot add in external numbers.


Call Holding.

During a call press [R] and the call will be suspended for 30 seconds, at which time the phone will ring again. If unanswered with 30 seconds then the call will be passed to the operator.

A call on hold may be picked up from another extension.


Call Pickup.

Group.

A set of extensions may be programmed at the exchange as part of group see your Departmental Phone Representative (Computing) . If any phone in the group rings another phone in the group can pickup the call by lifting the handset and pressing [8].

Individual.

You may pickup a call ringing, or on hold, on another extension by lifting lifting the handset, typing in the extension number and then pressing [8].

Automatic Callback.

If the extension you have dialed is not answered or is engaged then press key [6]. Then when the remote phone is next used or the call it was engaged in terminates your phone will ring, at a faster than normal rate.

An automatic callback will be cancelled if you are not called back within two hours or if you do not answer the callback within 16 seconds.

Cancelling Callbacks.


Abbreviations.

You can program up to 10 abbreviations (short codes) to dial numbers automatically. They can be for both internal and external numbers. You have to apply to your Departmental Phone Representative (Computing) to have this feature enabled.

Diverts any calls to your phone to another number.

Diversion.

Diverts any calls to your phone to another number that is preset at the exhange. To set this up contact Departmental Phone Representative (Computing).

There are two diversions that are on by default, and are setup for groups of numbers at the exchange: a redirect if no reply and a redirect if engaged.
