//Since January 2017, I moved to Carnegie Mellon University, please visit my new homepage//

I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Software Engineering at Imperial College London, Department of Computing, since March 2015. Prior to this, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at Dublin City University (DCU), and a research assistant with IC4 and Lero. I obtained a PhD in Computing from DCU in 2014 under the supervision of Dr. Claus Pahl.
My primary research interests are in the field of software engineering and my focus lies predominantly in the areas of self-adaptive software, where I apply machine learning and control theory to enable self-organizing behaviors in distributed systems. I am also active in the areas of big data, where I develop robust mechanisms for estimating performance and feeding operation data to the development to enable DevOps in distributed systems, which are designed to process data. Occasionally, I also do research in software architecture areas, mainly for cloud native architectures like microservices. Scientific techniques I regularly use in my research include Reinforcement Learning, Fuzzy Control, Markov Processes, Bayesian Statistics.
