Scope


History


QAPL is an international workshop on quantitative aspects of programming languages. Its first edition, QAPL 2001 was held in Florence, Italy.  It was a satellite event to the ACM conference on Principles, Logics, and Implementations of High-level Programming Languages,  PLI 2001. The proceedings appeared as volume 59(3) of ENTCS
Its second edition, QAPL 2004, was held in Barcelona, Spain.  Since then, it has become a yearly appointment with ETAPS.  The proceedings of QAPL 2004 appeared as Volume 112 of ENTCS. Based on this event, a special issue of the journal Theoretical Computer Science  was published as Volume 346(1).
The third edition,  QAPL 2005, was held in Edinburgh, Scotland. The 2006 edition took place in Vienna, Austria. Also the proceedings of these last two editions are published in ENTCS as Volume 153(2) and Volume 164(3), respectively. A special issue dedicated to the QAPL 2006 event was published as Volume 382(1) of TCS.
The fifth workshop, QAPL 2007, was held in Braga, Portugal. The proceedings were published online in Volume 190(3) of ENTCS. The following year QAPL 2008 took place in Budapest, Hungary; the proceeings appeared in ENTCS 220(3). Finally, QAPL 2009 took place in York, United Kingdom; the ENTCS proceedings are in preparation.
