A devastatingly simple maze game! After the original Smudgelet`s Maze (for 8086!) turned out to be quite fun - especially in the two-player mode, it became clear that at some stage, a more technically demanding sequel would be required. So, four years later, the refurbishment began.

The neat but static graphics of the original game were replaced with small higher-coloured scrolling windows, and the old bleeping speaker music was developed into an intense and frantic theme tune, making even the toughest players nervous! Two players on one keyboard was impressive for the old version. Smudgelet`s Maze 2000 will cope with 6 players (just about!) on one keyboard, although we recommend that the 6 people cramped around one keyboard should preferably know each other well!

The game remains mostly like the original. There are three challenges: the devouring challenge, to eat as much grub as possible and escape through the exit at the bottom of the maze. Or there is the panic option, where the winner is the quickest to escape the maze. Finally, for the experts, there is the ultimate challenge, where once you set off on a path, there is no going back...
