Job Description For The MSc Group Projects Co-ordinator

1. Liaise with the MSc Computing Science Course Director regarding the schedule.

2. Collect proposals for group projects from academic members of staff, and ensure that there is a sufficient number of proposals.

3. Publicise the proposals and the schedule for the students.

4. Organise a schedule of presentations, to include an introduction to the group projects (to give students an idea of what the group projects involve, how they will be organised, and assessed and what the schedule is), and presentations of proposals by the individual proposers.

5. Allocate students to group projects based on their preferences and any other appropriate factors.

6. Liaise with the person(s) responsible for giving the software engineering lectures associated with the group projects.

7. Organise the submission of all group project reports and delivery to the supervisors.

8. Issue reminders and clarifications from time to time when they become necessary or helpful.

9. Organise a schedule for the group project presentations.

10. Arrange the presentations so that every talk is attended either by you or the person taking the Practical Software Engineering lectures collecting feedback from the academics who attend the individual talks.

11. Organise and take responsibility for the moderation of all the group project marks and the selection of the best group project for the prize.

12. Produce and record the final moderated group project marks.

13. Collect all reports and clear, sufficiently detailed marking and moderation documentation, to be presented to the External Examiners.
