I am Giannis and I am a Ph.D. student at Imperial College London.
I hold a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus (2014).
During 2014, I was a research assistant at DMSL. I also hold an M.Sc.
in Web Science and Big Data Analytics from the University College London
(2015) and an M.Res. from Imperial College London (2016). My main research
interests include Distributed Systems & Databases and Big Data Management
and specifically Spatial Data Management. I also enjoy learning new technologies,
either front-end or back-end.

I am a Ph.D. student at Imperial College London. My research interests
include Data Management, Databases, NoSQL Data Stores, Information Retrieval, Data Mining
and Analytics. I enjoy learning about new Distributed Systems/Databases, Web Technologies
and extending my knowledge and administrative skills of Unix-like systems. Finally, I find
Cloud Computing technologies fascinating. As a current user of AWS, I am experienced with
multiple AWS services and I always seek to broaden my knowledge on further Cloud Computing
technologies.

Experimental appraisal of the project Vectormap and proposed Prefetching Techniques for Indoor Localization Maps. The techniques proposed achieved high position accuracy in an environment enduring Intermittent Connectivity to the Internet, by exploiting the predictive power of two new Prediction Algorithms.
