Title: Getting Into Games
Abstract:

The presentation describes the aspects of being a software engineer working at a video game studio. The talk will cover the different software components used to create video games, what is required to work in each of the specific areas and how to get into the industry.

Speaker Details: Ruben Penalva Ambrona
 

Ruben Penalva Ambrona is a senior graphics engineer at Frontier Developments. He has worked on the graphics technology behind Coaster Crazy and several other titles. Before working on video games Ruben worked on a real-time raytracer at ArtVPS. He holds a Bsc and MSc in Computer Science and Engineering from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
