Title: Architecting enterprise systems for the cloud
Abstract:

This talk will explore some of the real-world challenges and opportunities that come with architecting mission-critical enterprise systems for the cloud. Topics covered will include cloud security, designing a micro-services architecture, developments in big data streaming, employing complex event analysis for monitoring and alerting, and how to empower development teams to make the most of the cloud.

"After working on some of the UK's leading websites Paul moved to Ocado Technology where he is working with over 500 developers to reinvent the retail model. Paul.s first role at Ocado was to lead development of the real time control systems that operate Ocado's highly automated warehouses. He is now Head of Software Architecture overseeing the replatforming of Ocado's solution stack to run in the cloud. Paul holds a 1st class honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.
