Title: Deep learning, image classification and attempting to disrupt traditional industries, straight after university
Abstract:

Automative tech will disrupt almost every industry. This talk will give an overview of deep learning, explaining how deep learning for image classification (ConvNets) specifically work, also discuss how academic tech (such as that worked on as part of a final university project) can be applied to industrial datasets. Finally, the talk will explore why building a startup straight from university rather than becoming another employee number may be the right choice for highly talented technical individuals, and Matt Clifford (Co-Founder of EF) will explain how EF can help you do this.

Speaker Details: EF Current Cohort Member and Matt Clifford (Co-Founder of EF)

The current EF cohort have are just 4 weeks into the EF 2014/15 programme, yet they are building bigger and shipping much faster than any cohort we've had before. The speaker for this talk is an alumni of Imperial College London, having only graduated from his Master's in Computing last year. He already has significant traction building a startup which is looking at a commercial application of tech similar to that which he studied as part of his final-year project.
