Title: Why metrics matter
Abstract:

Key to the development of any algorithm is the ability to measure improvements. We present an overview of the areas this has affected at Dressipi and the problems it has thrown up, including recommending clothes to people, predicting the size they should purchase and analysing their behaviour.

Frederick Cheung, CTO.
Frederick has overall responsibility for technology at Dressipi. He has a degree in mathematics from the University of Cambridge, a Ruby Hero award and two cats.

Nick Landia, Chief Data Scientist
Nick works primarily on recommendation algorithms and data analysis tasks at Dressipi. His areas of expertise are Machine Learning, Recommender Systems and Data Analytics. He has a PhD from the University of Warwick. He is also a drum & bass DJ.
