The talk will cover a number of topics including the early adoption of Cassandra as a key component for scaling our Aladdin platform and our role in introducing Symphony as a collaboration platform for all financial services. |
| Speaker Details: | Ben Wong Ben Wong, Vice President, is a member of the Aladdin Product Groupâs Core Transaction Processing (CTP) team. This team is responsible for the core systems used for investment trade processing; their primary objective is to ensure that our systems meet our growth agenda through performance, stability, usability and new investment product capabilities. Within the CTP team, Ben Wong is the UK lead of the Trading group which is responsible for developing and maintaining Aladdinâs global, multi-asset trading platform which includes order capture, order execution, trade capture and position maintenance capabilities, as well as the dashboard framework, Aladdin Transition Manager and BES. Mr. Wong's service with the firm dates back to 2006, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI) which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI, Mr. Wong was part of the Fixed Income Technology - Trading Solutions team. Prior to assuming his role at BGI Mr. Wong held positions in various information technology consulting firms in Australia and Hong Kong. |
