Biography of Michael Huth

Born in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, Germany.

Grew up in Karlstein am Main, Bavaria, Germany.

For about six years, studies at the Spessart-Gymnasium Alzenau, a school for humanities in Alzenau, Bavaria, Germany.

In 1981, received Abitur from the Otto-Hahn-School in Hanau, Hessen, Germany.

In July 1981, began 15-months military service with the 53th Panzergrenadierbatallion in Fritzlar, Hessen, Germany.

In May 1988, received Masters in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from the Department of Mathematics at the Technische Universit"at Darmstadt , Hessen, Germany; advisor Prof. Dr. Karl H. Hofmann.

In May 1991, received PhD from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA; advisor Pendergraft Herbert Buchanan Professor Michael Mislove at the Department of Mathematics.

First post-doctoral year at the Department of Computing and Information Sciences at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, USA; advisor Prof. David Schmidt.

After a sejour in New Orleans and in Belize, visited the Department of Computing at the Imperial College London in London, United Kingdom in 1992, under a stipend of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft; advisor Prof. Samson Abramsky.

In Fall 1993, joined the Department of Mathematics at the Technische Universit"at Darmstadt as scientific assistant; advisor Prof. Dr. Klaus Keimel.

In the Fall of 1995, research assistant of Prof. Marta Kwiatkowska at the School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.

From August 1996 until May 2001, Assistant Professor at the Department of Computing and Information Sciences at Kansas State University, USA.

From August 2012 up to the present, Professor (Senior Lecturer from 2001 to 2006, Reader from 2006 to 2012) in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London, United Kingdom.

Since September 2018, CTO of XAIN AG in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany.
