Welcome to the POPL 2001 web site

On these pages you will find all files pertaining to the local organisation of the 2001 Annual ACM SIGPLAN - SIGACT Symposium on Principles of Programming Languages. This took place in London, England, from 17 to19 January, 2001, at the Royal Society, 6 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AG.

From this page, you can access files from the official conference site, as kept by the programme chair, Prof. H.R. Nielson. There is a file containing information on the Conference Committee, and one for the conference programme. You can register directly with the ACM for POPL 2001.

Social events

On Wednesday evening, the official conference reception will take place the Dining Room at the Royal Society. All POPL registrants to the conference are invited to participate.

On the evening of 18 January, Microsoft will be hosting an event to present their new .NET SDK. This will involve a short presentation followed by a reception with drinks and a buffet. The event is independent of POPL but is exclusively available to POPL registrants. The venue will be the Wellcome Lecture Hall and the Dining Room at the Royal Society and the presentation will start at 18.00.
