• [01/2016] Our paper "Effectively Positioning Water Loss Event in Smart Water Networks" has been received the Best Paper Award at the 2nd International Electronic Conference on Sensors and Applicationsin in 2015.
• [09/2015] I have given an oral presentation for our paper "High Quality Graph-Based Similarity Retrieval on Large Graphs" at ACM SIGIR 2015 conference in Santiago, Chile.
• [03/2015] Our paper "Efficient Partial-Pairs SimRank Search on Large Networks" has been accepted by the 41st International Conference on Very Large Data Bases (VLDB 2015).

I am a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London (ICL) and Intel Collaborative Research Institute (ICRI) for Sustainable Connected Cites. In 2014, I received my Ph.D degree from the School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. During my Ph.D study, I also had close collaboration with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), and National ICT Australia (NICTA). I received my first Ph.D degree in Control Theory in 2010, and B.Sc degree in Applied Mathematics in 2006, both from Donghua University, China.

 

My research interests centres on big data management and stochastic calculus.

• In big data management, I focus on structured data management, web information search, graph database, and data mining.
• Stochastic calculus is a branch of mathematics that allows a classic theory of integration to be defined for integrals of stochastic processes. In this area, my interests include stochastic control and filtering theory, stochastic differential equation, and Itô calculus.
