- The teaching labs are located on level 2 of the Huxley Building. The rooms themselves were completely rebuilt during Summer 2004, and the workstations are frequently updated on a rolling basis.
The labs are open to students from 8am to 11pm, including weekends. The labs are a secure area - you must have your College ID card with you if you are in the labs, and only students who are on courses in Computing are allowed into the lab. Please note the Lab regulations.
There are approximately 180 workstations available for use.
There are currently 4 printers available for student use.
Using portable devices
There are currently network ports for connecting portable devices via Ethernet in labs 210 and 219; further portable device ports will be added in 202 and 206 during Summer 2008.
All of Huxley levels 2, 3, 4 and 5 and lecture theatres 144 and 145 have 802.11a/b/g wireless networking on the DoC network.
All portable devices must be registered with DoCRoam, the Department's portable device management system.
