  • I have spent several periods visiting a number of institutions, notably the Computing Department at Pisa University (from June 2003 till September 2004, as an adjunct associate professor under the Italian programme "Rientro dei Cervelli"), the Department of Computing, Universidad Nacional del Sur, Bahia Blanca, Argentina (in April 2000, as a guest postgraduate lecturer), the Department of Electrical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (from April till November 1996, as a research fellow under the EU programme "Human Capital and Mobility"), and the Fujitsu Laboratories at Kawasaki, Japan (from September till November 1993, as a visiting researcher).
  • I have chaired CLIMA VI and CLIMA VII.
  • I have been the coordinator of the project SOCS, "A computational logic model for the description, analysis and verification of global and open societies of heterogeneous computees", funded by the European Commission within the IST-FET programme, in the context of the Global Computing initiative.
