College Email Settings
In any IMAP-capable email client, eg. Thunderbird, Mac Mail, Outlook, create a separate email account with the settings:
- SMTP server: smtp.cc.ic.ac.uk, use port 587, use TLS and authentication.
- IMAP server: icex.imperial.ac.uk, port 993, SSL. Make sure that any trace of the old DoC IMAP folder prefix "~/IMAP" is removed.

If your email has not yet been migrated, use these settings:

We recommend using SMTP authentication with TLS enabled. Within DoC, unauthenticated SMTP to port 25 is permitted. Outside DoC, port 587 can be used to connect with TLS and authentication if port 25 is blocked. For simplicity, always use port 587.
