I have recently began my journey to self-teach myself website development in order to further understand what area of programming I want to pursue in the future.
For now, I have started learning HTML, CSS, Javascript as well as the React framework in order to create responsive and interactive websites and now I plan to put it to use in order to eventually make some of my projects more accessible to the public, most notably the scala job-hunting website that I am working on.
Current project: This
For now, I have limited experience in programming with these languages, however, I hope to improve on this by developing websites, increasing in complexity.
This is the first small-scale website that I have ever created, doing so with only HTML and CSS, so as expected, there are many areas which I believe I could improve on.
From this project, I feel that I am now more familiar with HTML and CSS, I feel that I am now ready to move on towards Javascript and React in order to develop more interesting and complex websites.

Future Plans
After I finish this website, I plan to put my skills in Javascript and React to use in order to further understand the world of frontend development, I believe that this will be needed in order to create an interactive website, especially for the previously mentioned Scala project.
I also plan to learn another framework such as Akka, Apache Spark and Play to gain further experience in Scala.
I also plan to use the knowledge that I am gaining from programming this website to understand the structure of websites, which I feel will help me in scraping websites in the project.
