In this course we will focus on the role of parallelism in computer
architecture. We will not, therefore, consider certain important
topics further, for example :
- Interrupts and exceptions (see H&P pp.179)
- Virtual address translation and page faults
(see H&P pp.445)
We will concentrate on making maximum use of parallelism in processing
arithmetic instructions.
